Marion Hall says rising dancehall deejay Caano reminds her of a young Beenie Man
The lyrical prowess of up and coming dancehall artiste Caano has caught the attention of former dancehall artiste turned gospel musician Marion Hall.
Despite his expletive laced single “ Bank Robber and Polo Shorts” Hall likened the deejay’s style to that of a young Beenie Man.
Hall was so impressed with Caano’s musical ability that she said she would do a collaboration with him.
However, Hall said Caano would have to ditch his gun toting lyrics and get on the Jesus bandwagon before the duo can collaborate in the studio.
“I was just looking through my Facebook, and saw you . At first i thought you were Beenie man when he was younger. Then you start knock out the beat, and i was like WOW,” said Hall on Friday (June 25) who reacted to a video clip of Caano which went viral close to a year ago.
“ I am a Christian, but i had was to stop and listen,cause you pull attention. Without the explicits I would do a song with you about coming into the kingdom of God ,and out of sin. What I’m saying is. You too good to be ova deh suh. Come ova yah suh,” added Hall.
Dancehall artiste Caano came to public attention after disc jockey Neako Fire posted a video of the entertainer spitting lyrics while working at a car spray shop on May 29 2020.
The video of Caano went viral, with many sharing rave reviews for the talented entertainer.
