Carifta Games: Jamaica’s Danielle Noble takes U-17 high jump gold
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Danielle Noble claimed Jamaica’s first gold medal of the 49th Carifta Games when she topped the Girls’ Under-17 high jump here at the National Stadium a short while ago.
Noble, the girls’ class three silver medallist at the recently-concluded ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletic Championships, soared to a new personal best of 1.73 metres, bettering her previous best of 1.71m.
Tenique Vincent of Trinidad and Tobago took silver after clearing 1.65m, while British Virgin Islands’ Jah’kayla Morton was third at 1.60m.
