Fugitive wanted for raping 4-year-old twins smiles after being captured in NY
A 22-year-old man accused of child rape was arrested in New York on Wednesday. But as he was being escorted by police out of the Midtown South precinct station house in Manhattan to appear in court, the suspect had a big smile plastered across his face.
According to a story published by New York Daily News, Isaiah Metz is wanted for the rape of 4-year-old twin girls in Pennsylvania. Working off a tip, the task force first confronted Metz at 4:15 am on Tuesday, April 19, at the Antonio Olivieri Drop-In Center.
Metz, who was already on parole for assaulting a police officer in Pennsylvania, refused to go quietly – fighting off police, punching the two officers in the head and biting one’s arm before running off.
The injured officers were taken to Bellevue Hospital, where they were treated and released before resuming the hunt for the suspect and eventually helped to arrest him.
But as he was being led out of the precinct in handcuffs, Metz showed no remorse for his actions as he was photographed smiling for the cameras.
He has since been charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration.
