Worl’ Bank takes aim at female fans
Worl’ Bank’s latest single Best Touch is aimed at letting women know he is the best lover.
Released recently, the song is self-produced on Worl’ Bank Entertainment and is rapidly gaining traction in the dancehall space.
“Worl’ Bank is a musical artiste. I bring a knowledge from the streets and business compounded with versatility in style of delivery and information placement. I am bringing hard work, persistence, dedication, and the love I have for the game itself,” he said.
The 30-year-old entertainer, whose given name is Jermaine Romaine Lawrence, was born and raised in Granville, Pitfour, in St James. His love for music developed while he was still in primary school. He would eventually go on to become a road manager in the entertainment business.
In 2008 he moved to Kingston to further pursue his education but eventually switched his focus to becoming an entertainer. Through hard work and persistence, it finally happened earlier this year. He has already recorded about 60 songs.
The entertainer has been steadily earning respect since he released his debut track Rich Rich via Outta Nothing Productions.
While Rich Rich did not receive much promotion, it connected with dancehall fans, who responded positively on social media. That feedback has led to several opportunities to work with established producers, and last month he released Jack Sparrow produced by Shab Don.
Worl’ Bank says that this early success is only the beginning as he has several other projects lined up for the next few months, including a still-untitled EP.
“Musically, my dream is to master dancehall and break boundaries in other genres to put Jamaicans more into the wealth world. I want to be a billionaire using the power of dancehall music, breaking the chain and creating a passage for others,” he said.
