Mechanic slapped with several charges after allegedly sexually assaulting teen

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — A St Catherine mechanic is set to face the court on a slew of charges resulting from an April 27 incident in which he reportedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl.

Reports are that 28-year-old Brandon Brisett of a Phoenix Park Village, Portmore address saw the teen, who was walking from a nearby shop, and offered her a ride home.

It is alleged that upon entering his car, Brissett reportedly pointed a gun at the teen and took her to his house where he allegedly assaulted her.

Brissett was reportedly familiar with the teen, as they had met a year prior.

Police who visited Phoenix Park Village to arrest Brissett reported that they were barred from entering the complex and have since issued a warning to residents of gated communities not to obstruct the police as they carry out their duties.

READ:

Brissett was subsequently apprehended and his Toyota Mark X seized. A lead sheet was reportedly also found in his possession.

The accused is to face the court on May 10.
