Fedrick Dacres breaks discus record at Velocity Fest
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Commonwealth Games champion, Fedrick Dacres, set a new meet record on Saturday winning the men’s discus throw with 65.98 metres at the Velocity Fest II at the National Stadium.

Meanwhile, Tissanna Hickling won the women’s long jump with 6.49 m (1.3m/s) after fouling her first two attempts and ended with just three legal marks.
Jodian Stewart was second with 5.94 m (1.5m/s) and Mellisa Walker third with 5.46m (1.1m/s).
Elvis Graham won the men’s javelin throw with 69.72m, Devon Spencer was second with 64.53m and Zaavan Richards third with 60.72m.
