Rains expected to continue over next few days
Jamaicans are in for more rain this week as a trough moves across the island.
According to the Meteorological Service of Jamaica, the weather system is to remain across the region for the next few days. Unstable weather conditions are therefore expected to continue with periods of showers and thunderstorms islandwide especially across northern parishes mainly during the afternoons, the Met Service said.
Lingering isolated showers are expected across sections of northern parishes Sunday night; partly cloudy conditions are expected elsewhere.
See 3-day forecast (starting Monday) from the Met Service below.
Monday: Morning showers mainly across northern parishes. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms across most parishes. Lingering night-time showers especially across north-central and eastern parishes.
Tuesday: Morning showers across northern parishes. Afternoon showers across most parishes with thunderstorms mainly across southern parishes.
Wednesday: Morning showers across northern and southeastern parishes. Afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms across hilly areas and southern parishes.
