Nutrend gains exposure
UP-AND-COMING dancehall deejay Nutrend is on a path to recognition after the release of the track of Isolated.
“The reception has been good so for. Every ears my music has reached, I have gotten a good, solid feedback,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
The February 21 release was produced by JAF Records. The official music video premiered on April 15.
Nutrend, whose given name is Venroy Knight, hails from Papine in St Andrew. The 27-year-old says music has always been a passion of his.
“I’ve been an artise almost all my life. Growing up, I heard my mother singing almost everyday so I would say she’s my biggest inspiration,” he added.
His previous releases include Addi, Music & Badness, and Nuh 3 Trust.
Nutrend hopes to collaborate with incarcerated deejay Tommy Lee Sparta. In the meantime, he believes he has the right qualities to propel him forward.
“The talent, the style, and the flow make me unique. Just give me a mic and mi lock down any stage show,” he declared.
The deejay hopes to tour the world and cop several international awards.
