All Hail Queen Nicholene!

All Hail Queen Nicholene!

‘Queen of Insurance’ Nicholene Taylor crowned at Sagicor Life Half-Way-Tree Branch Awards

Royalty was the word on everyone’s lips as Sagicor Life’s Half-Way-Tree Branch — home of Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Top of the Table Financial Advisor Nicholene Taylor — retreated to Iberostar Suites in Rose Hall, Montego Bay for its annual Branch Awards recently.

Draped in stunning African and European royal garb, advisors, managers, and executives mingled as they celebrated the branch’s successful performance throughout 2021.

It came as no surprise that “Queen Nicholene”, the financial advisor who copped the most awards at Sagicor Group Jamaica’s Corporate Awards last month, reigned supreme within her branch as well. Taylor won the Pansie Bisnott Trophy for being the female advisor with the highest premium income; the Apptivity Trophy for the highest settled new cases; the Premium Income Trophy; the First Year Commission Trophy; and the Branch Manager’s Trophy for most income from all sources.

“Words can’t describe how I feel right now. I was not expecting this at all, and I’m really lost for words,” an emotional Taylor said after the surprise investiture. “As financial advisors, we work very hard to make people’s dreams into reality, and the fact that I’m getting all these trophies means I’ve been making many, many, many people’s dreams into a reality.”

In addition to her awards at the branch level, Taylor recently received the following at the group level: the Sagicor Trophy for attaining the highest earnings for the year in review; the Pansy Ennevor Trophy for the top female advisor within Sagicor Life Jamaica; the First Year Commission Award; and the Danny Williams Trophy for the advisor with the most cases. She was also named the Production Club Chairman for Sagicor Life Jamaica.

Half-Way-Tree Branch Manager Odine DaCosta congratulated Taylor, and too, the other advisors within his branch for their stellar performances in 2021, despite the challenges.

“Royal Family, we have weathered many storms, but still, we stand tall. It has been incredible to see the consistency of the team pushing the bar, month after month, and it is this consistency that has earned us the level of success that we are celebrating this evening,” he said.

The other highest-ranking members of the Royal Half-Way-Tree branch family this year are MDRT Court of the Table Financial Advisor Rudolph Kelly, and MDRT Qualifier Jody James-Francis. This MDRT Lifetime Member Award was bestowed on Ann Green-Davis, while Carlos King received the Conservation Trophy and the award for the Most Improved Advisor. Georgia Mclean received the Rookie Trophy.

Mark Chisholm, executive vice-president – Sales, Individual Life Division, Sagicor Life, also extended congratulations to the winners, and was on hand to present a number of the awards.

After a heartfelt vote of thanks moved by HRH Nicholene, the jubilant team lingered on and ‘wined down’ in Iberostar’s Blue Lagoon music room, then feasted on their choice of exquisite international cuisines at the resort’s various restaurants.
