Reggae Boyz drubbed 6-0 by Catalonia
GIRONA, Spain – Former Barçelona player Gerard Deulofeu bagged a hattrick as Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz were thrashed 6 – 0 by Catalonia at the Estadi Municipal de Montilivi in Spain on Wednesday.
Udinese striker Deulofeu scored all three of his goals in the first half (fourth, 29th and 45th), with Marc Bartra Aregall grabbing one in the 34th minute, as the home side led 4-0 at the interval.
Ferran Jutgia Blanc and Javi Puado found their way on the score sheet in the 75th and 89th minute respectively to complete the rout for the Catalonians.
Interim Reggae Boyz Head Coach Paul Hall had indicated that the international friendly would be used to look at players ahead of the Nations League tournament which starts in early June.
