CHAPLETON, Clarendon — Chapleton Maroons extended their perfect start to the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) Tier Two competition with a 4-2 win over Lime Hall Academy at Turners Playfield in Chapleton, their third win in a row.

Kahiem Dixon scored back to back braces to lead Chapleton as they raced to nine points, two more than Faulkland FC who beat Hopewell United 5-1 for back-to-back wins with three teams, Baptist Alliance, Portlanders FC and Treasure Beach FC, all on six points.

The teams will play each other once before the top four contest the semi-finals that will see the two winners and finalists qualifying for next season’s Premier League.

At Turners Playfield on Saturday, Dixon scored in the 12th and 35th minutes as the home team led 3-0 at half time with Jaheem Thomas adding a third in time added at the end of the first half.

Lime Hall Academy rallied in the second half, cutting the deficit to one goal as Romarea Smith scored in the 48th minute and Carlos Campbell on the 69th minute.

Javel Ellis, however, scored his second goal of the season, in time added at the end of the second half to give Chapleton some cushion.

After being held 1-1 in their opening game, Faulkland FC have exploded for nine goals as they scored five against Hopewell United on Saturday after scoring four against Lime Hall on Thursday.

Obrien Robinson scored a double, in the 26th and 73rd minutes, after Michael Heaven had given Faulkland FC the lead in the 23rd minute.

Hopewell United’s goalkeeper Alrick Gillette saved a penalty in the 19th minute after Robinson was fouled in the box and parried Tyshan Hill’s spot kick.

He was at fault for the next two goals, however, fumbling the ball in his own box and allowing Faulkland players to convert from point-blank range.

Jaden Jumpp pulled back a goal for Hopewell United when he scored in the 43rd minute but Shanoy Anderson made it 3-1 in the 45th minute.

Robinson completed his brace in the 73rd minute while Alex Forbes who was a second-half substitute, converted a penalty a minute into time added after he was tripped in the box.

Baptist Alliance rebounded from their midweek loss to Tru Juice with a big 6-2 win over Downs YC, leading 3-0 at half time with a double from Lescel Alexander- 28th and 43rd and one from Rohan Brown who also added a second in the 49th minute.

Christopher Nelson scored for Downs YC in the 50th minute, Kevin Kenton made it 5-1 in the 76th minute, Romaine Samuda scored for Downs YC in the 81st minute but Courtney Gordon restored Baptist Alliance’s four goals margin with a goal two minutes into time added.

Omar Walters scored both goals as Portlanders FC edged Tru Juice 2-1, scoring in the 11th and 50th minutes while Michael Hurst halved the deficit in the 82nd minute.

An 83rd-minute own goal from Daevin Leigh gave Treasure Beach FC a 1-0 win over Wadadah United FC while Albion Mountain scored their first win, edging winless Falmouth United 2-1 at Westmoreland Oval as Joseph Bootha scored both goals for the winners, including winner deep into time added.

Bootha had opened the scoring in the 13th minute before Patrick Shecklude tied up the scores in the 68th minute but the home team found the winner five minutes into time added.
