With summer officially in full swing, Mongoose Jamaica Restaurant & Lounge in St Ann along with Contractor Music Group are looking to make the parish the entertainment hub of the Caribbean with their monthly party series — Club Night.

“Ocho Rios has the number one attraction in the country for tourists and locals, and that’s the Dunn’s River Falls, and also with Mystic Mountains and Dolphin Cove and the sun and the white sand and the beautiful beaches, Ocho Rios attracts thousands of visitors everyday. We need to expand the tourism product so that an entertainment sector can be viable in Ocho Rios, where tourists and visitors from other parts of the island are coming on weekends to enjoy themselves and feel safe. This will bring in a lot of income in the tourism sector for local people,” Sean Edwards, CEO of Contractor Music Group, told the Jamaica Observer.

This month’s staging of the event is slated for this evening at Mongoose Restaurant & Lounge in Ocho Rios. Music will be provided by DJ Smurf, DJ Jabba, and ZJ Dymond.

Edwards said, besides the food and entertainment, there will be prizes and surprises for patrons.

“Patrons should come out this weekend because the sexiest female will get an outfit from Kloset Expansion and best dressed male [will] get a dinner for two at Mongoose, and with two experienced radio station DJs coming together, it should be good vibes,” he told the Observer.
