KGN 5 returns with Girls Night Out
Popular party series KGN 5 returns tonight for its first staging in four years. Dubbed the Girls Night Out edition, the event takes place at the National Stadium’s car park in St Andrew.
“Patrons can expect high energy from our world-class DJ line-up, a well-planned event and tons of girl songs,” said co-promoter Chavaughn O’Neil.
Billed to provide the music are DJs Mac and Trippple X, as well as CD Fantasy and Coppershot.
Said O’Neil, “The last staging of KGN 5 was held pre-COVID in October 2018, which at that time, was our fifth anniversary. The pandemic really hurt the brand more than us the promoters. The inability to be fresh in patrons’ minds caused us to go back to the drawing board and start rebuilding the image of the event as if we are just starting. The pandemic also shifted our marketing as a lot has changed since 2018. Patrons now look for quality more than anything else and that’s what we aim to deliver.”
He continued, “At this staging, I am looking forward to pleasing the patrons and returning to their hearts as their favourite uptown street dance. I am also looking forward to seeing how the patrons react to the star-studded line-up we have and special surprises we have in store as well. It’s all about the patrons for this staging, especially the ladies.”
KGN 5 was first held in October 2013 at the Twin Gates Lounge with 200 patrons. Since then, it has grown to host more than 1,700 patrons per event.
