First-time event promoter Darnell Dodd is over the moon following the success of his event ‘Meech Lifestyle’.

Held last Saturday, July 9 at Mandeville Golf Club in Manchester, performers at the event included Saw Boss, Swizz, Biggs Don, Marksman and Daddy1.

“The whole idea behind Meech Lifestyle was to show people that anyone can be successful and carry out their dreams, to show that even if you fail don’t give up — get up and try again, harder than before,” Dodd explained.

The event attracted a large turnout of patrons who partied to the musical delights from some of Mandeville’s top disc jocks including Ultimate Shane, DJ Brain and Jerzey Shellinz.

“The turnout and support was extremely successful and surprising, not knowing I would get such a big crowd. What helped to make the event a success was the support at the bar and how patrons gravitated to the artistes who performed,” said Dodd.

He added, “The performances were exciting and energetic and the patrons reacted positively to each artiste. The highlight would be really the support I got from the more than 400 people and the vibes everyone carried, showing how exciting the party was.”

Based on the success of Meech Lifestyle, Dodd is already in planning mode for the next event which will be sometime next year.
