Blue Lagoon in Portland temporarily closed

The popular Blue Lagoon attraction is now temporarily closed.

The Blue Lagoon is a major tourist attraction and heritage site located at San San in eastern Portland.

The closure took effect today, August 29.

The attraction will undergo a three-phase overhaul that will begin with the area being cleared, upgrading of the facilities, and then the resumption of activities in an organised manner.

Among the commercial activities to cease are rafting, boat rides, selling of food, and all forms of vending.

Commercial activities are expected to be resumed in October.
