EVER since she emerged on the dancehall music scene in the late 2000s, deejay Lisa Hyper has managed to reinvent herself and to remain current.

The artiste is gearing up for a three-week trek in England, her first time there since 2010.

“I will be going to England in November for a three-week tour. I haven’t been there in over 12 years, so my fans are eager to see me. The first time I went to England, it was awesome, and I felt the love from the fans,” Lisa Hyper disclosed in an interview with the Jamaica Observer.

Lisa Hyper is known for hit songs including Sculpture, Body Fit, Pretty Butterfly, Wine for Me, Champion Bubbler, and Bills featuring Gaza Kim. She credits her success and longevity in the music business to her keen sense of self-worth and self-confidence.

“God has gifted me with a lot of strength, and I am extremely passionate and tenacious about the things I love. I love music very deeply. I have been singing since I was five years old and by the time I was in high school I met Vybz Kartel. He did a lot to prepare me for my entry into the music business, he groomed me to be a strong and successful artiste,” she shared.

Lisa Hyper continued, “I am exceptionally good at dealing with challenges and balancing my personal life and my career. So, despite the challenges that come with having a successful music career, giving up has never been an option for me. It’s important to have a mind of your own and be careful of the choices you make. You can’t blame others for your mistakes. Self-motivation and self-determination are also important. You must know what you want in life and go after it.”

Her latest single is titled Ghetto Man, produced by Ireland Records. It was released last month.
