Illegal gun and ammunition seized at party in Westmoreland
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – An illegal firearm and 10 rounds of ammunition were seized during a joint police/military operation at an unpermitted party in West End Negril in Westmoreland on Monday morning.
Reports from the Westmoreland Police are that members of the security forces conducted a targeted raid at Motion City Bar between 12:30 am and 2:45 am while a party was in session.
During a search of the premises, one chrome and black 9mm pistol was found in the grass at the back of the building. A further search of the area revealed one magazine loaded with 10 live 9mm rounds.
The firearm was inspected and no visible serial number was seen.
No arrest was made, the report said.
