Prohgres creates a buzz at Sting
Dancehall artiste Prohgres, one of the leading artistes from St Ann, delivered a clean, high-energy performance at Grizzly’s Plantation Cove in St Ann on December 26.
Prohgres, dressed in full black, hit the stage after 2:00 am, and delivered Strength, and then segued into Nuh Too Friendly. Using high kicks and constant movement, he worked the stage well as he did Nothing ah Hide, and earned a major forward.
He closed with his popular hit song Memory Lane.
“Immediately after my performance, Minister Olivia Grange took a photo with me and told me ‘great performance’ and she even reposted the photo as part of her posts on TikTok. I feel great because if I had been X-rated, done gun songs or had cursed bad words, the minister probably wouldn’t have acknowledged me, so a word of advice to young artistes, keep your sets professional, you never know who is watching,” Prohgres said.
Born Richard Gordon, Prohgres grew up in Discovery Bay, St Ann. Known for his ability to turn everyday life into hit songs, recording artiste Prohgres has made a mark with singles such as Memory Lane, Break The Chains, Vision featuring Chronic Law, and Blue Tick.
