No criminal charges for Holness, says Integrity Commission
Following the public brouhaha created by the explosive 107-page report of the Integrity Commission (IC) on the award of Government contracts and the recommendation that Prime Minister Andrew Holness be referred to the IC’s Director of Corruption Prosecution for possible criminal sanction, the Commission has now stated that the said director referred no criminal sanction against Holness as far back as January 12.
Yet, the IC’s report was only tabled in Parliament on Tuesday, February 14.

The Commission, in a 15-page letter to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Marisa Dalyrymple-Philibert and President of the Senate, Tom Tavares-Finson, said, among other things, that although “evidence has been identified sufficient to mount charges for the noted offences, the prosecution would be hard-pressed to resist an abuse of process application with regard to undue delay”.
