Akeem Blake tops stellar line-up in 60m at Gibson/McCook Relays

KINGSTON, Jamaica – NACAC 100m champion Akeem Blake produced a personal best of 6.42 seconds to beat a stellar line-up in the 60m Men Open at the Gibson/McCook Relays on Saturday.

Blake edged Eugene World Athletics 100m finalist, Oblique Seville, who also ran 6.42 seconds.

Blake will take home a cash prize of US$10,000 (JMD1.5 million).

Meanwhile, Yohan Blake, who won the World Championship title in the 100m in 2011, had to settle for third in 6.45 seconds.
