Fraser-Pryce to compete at inaugural Botswana Grand Prix
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaican sprint queen Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is scheduled to compete at the inaugural Botswana Golden Grand Prix in Gaborone, Botswana on April 29, according to the sport’s governing body.
World Athletics made the announcement on Friday via social media.
Fraser-Pryce, who is a 10-time world champion, is yet to make her 2023 season debut.
She notched her fifth world 100m title at the Oregon World Athletics Championship last year, alongside her fifth Diamond League trophy in the event.
Fraser-Pryce, who was recently honoured by the American Friends of Jamaica, ran a world leading time of 10.62 seconds in the 100m in 2022 and became the first woman in the history of athletics to clock seven sub-10.70 races in the event.
