Holland seek second place in girls’ basketball

TRELAWNY, Jamaica— Holland High could take over second place in the ISSA Western Conference Girls’ Open basketball competition on Monday when they take on William Knibb Memorial.

The two will face off in a rescheduled game at Muschett High in Wakefield, Trelawny, set to start at 2:00pm.

Holland High are in third place on 12 points, one less than Mt Alvernia High who have played one game more.

Leaders Herbert Morrison Technical who have secured the top spot going into the semi-finals, will take on Muschett High in the second game and will hope to win the ninth in a row.

William Knibb Memorial who are coming off the first win of the season when they beat Muschett High on Friday will hope for back- to -back wins which would boost their slim semi-final chances.

Holland had won the first meeting between the teams 24-14 on March 16 , will start favorites to win today, however.
