#Champs2023: Edwin Allen’s Terrelonge begins 100m title defence
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Edwin Allen High’s Theianna-Lee Terrelonge, who won the sprint double at last year’s edition of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Championships, has begun her title defence in the Class 3 Girls’ 100m.
Terrelonge, who is in her second year in Class 3, clocked the fastest time of 12.10 seconds. She won her heat ahead of Kaliesha Bell of St Mary High, who clocked 12.63 seconds.
Poshanna-Lee Blake of St Jago High (12.47), Tiana Oliver of Vere Technical (12.53) and Wolmer’s Girls’ Natrice East (12.53) also delivered impressive wins.
Paris Pomings of Excelsior High (12.67), Adora Campbell of St Jago (12.69) Kedoya Lindo of Immaculate Conception High (12.76) and Excelsior High’s Tashika Thompson (13.03) were the other winners in the event.
The Class 3 girls will grace the track in the semi-final of the 100m on Wednesday at 5:24 pm.
