TUCKER, St James – The finalists in the St James Football Association Sandals Resorts International Under-17 competition will be decided this Saturday when the semi-finals are played at Wespow Park starting at 1:30 pm.

St James High and Athletes in Action (AIA) will meet in the first game followed by Irwin Academy against Green Pond, playing against each other in back to back weeks, set to start at 3:30 pm.

The semi-finals were set following last Saturday’s final set of matches in the first round that saw Irwin Academy on top with 18 points, one more than AIA, followed by St James High on 16 points and Green Pond High on 10.

Irwin Academy blanked Green Pond High 2-0 in the second game at Green Pond after AIA edged Granville United, while St James High beat Montego Bay Boys Club 5-0 at Wespow Park.

In the first round, AIA had beaten St James High 2-1 while Irwin had beaten Green Pond last week and they will start as favourites to qualify for the final set for next Saturday.
