Woman found stabbed to death inside bathroom at St Ann market

ST ANN, Jamaica – A woman was found stabbed to death inside a bathroom in the Ocho Rios market in St Ann Saturday night.

She has been identified as Shanna Burke, a bar maid from Buckfield in the parish.

It was reported that around 8:25 pm, Burke was at the JB Hide Out bar, where she worked in the Ocho Rios market, when she went to use the bathroom that was nearby.

Police said when she did not return the bar owner went to check. This was when the owner found the now-deceased lying on the ground, lifeless, with multiple stab wounds.

She reportedly made an alarm and called the police. Crime scene detectives cleared and processed the area, and the body was later pronounced dead at hospital and taken to the morgue.
