Deejay Dkoi says he feels the frustrations of the nation’s youth, but calls on them to keep the faith in his song Inagram.

The recently released track is produced by Young Donz Entertainment.

“Inagram basically is an inspiration to the youths to go after what you want and never stop motivating yourself, and you will find that motivation message in most of my songs,” said Dkoi.

The up-tempo track is the first song of 2023 for the artiste, who is in his early 20s.

From Sugar Loaf district in Gordon Town, St Andrew, he began recording songs four years ago with his previous singles including Hustle and Money Pree.

Describing himself as “vocally versatile”, Dkoi says he tries to live up his diverse influences, which include dancehall act Chronic Law and soul singer John Legend, by producing songs that appeal to hard core and mainstream audiences.

Born Deshaun Jackson, Dkoi launched his career in 2019 with Summer Vibes, produced by Kanpe Tof Records. The performance of that track encouraged him to record even more and the last two years have seen increased activity, with producers including ZJ Dymon with whom he did the song Elevate.
