Like most artistes, Ryan Dangerous hopes for a hit song whenever he steps into the recording booth. It was no different when he did Baby Run Come, which was released in early May.

During production, the Florida-based singer put himself in the shoes of consumers who ultimately decides if that track is a hit.

“Whenever I record a song, I constantly put myself in the audience to critique my work, because people don’t value cooking unless the chef taste the food to make sure the ingredients are enticing the palate. Hit songs are not by accident; they are made with strategic formulas,” he said.

Ryan Dangerous describes Baby Run Come as a “club-banger and a feel-good record that boasts a crossover Afro-Beats, with your standard classic Dancehall vibe”.

Born in Kingston and raised in Portland, he told the Jamaica Observer that Baby Run Come is part of a major thrust to break his music in 2023.

While he has been playing music since childhood, Ryan Dangerous’s substantive gig is fashion designer for his company, Island Niche.

Baby Run Come is the belated follow-up to Tatoo Scars — a 2021 dance song Ryan Dangerous recorded for Blewman Production.

He is optimistic the songs he has in store have the quality to make an impact this year.

“I would like to think that I have a few hit singles in my arsenal which I am patiently waiting to be introduced by Da Global Base team. Simply having gold or diamonds don’t bring value, having the proper PR and placements usually helps to polish and deliver the dream,” said Ryan Dangerous.
