Laa Lee creating waves with Neat Wid It
Neat Wid It, a collaboration between dancehall artiste Laa Lee and dancer-turned-deejay Bop, has been making the rounds on social media.
In a bid to increase the song’s visibility, a Neat Wid It dance challenge has been engaging dancers from around the world.
According to Trevor “Jr Bloodline” Smith, producer of the song, “The dance challenge has seen dancers from around the world posting videos doing the dance. It’s been crazy seeing all those videos. The winner will receive $100,000,” said Jr Bloodline.
Laa Lee said he was excited to work with the producer.
“The experience working with Jr Bloodline was amazing. Big producer, big rhythm. The vibes were awesome, trust mi; I loved it,” Laa Lee said in an interview with the Jamaica Observer.
The Neat Wid It dance was created by dance group Hectic Diamonds.
Bop, who is featured on the song, is a member of the group.
Jr Bloodline explained how the collaboration with Laa Lee came about.
“Brook Brothers build the rhythm and, when me listen it, it gave me happy dancehall vibe, and then Laa Lee came to mind. The next day me buck him up at Boom Sundays and play it for him in the noise. Him say, ‘Junior, this connect; send me!’ I sent him the rhythm and couple days later we linked up at the studio where he voiced the song.”
Said Jr Bloodline: “I’ve always been a fan and friend of Laa Lee and his manager Frankie Music. We have a close relationship, even though it’s the first time that I was working with Laa Lee. The energy connected immediately.”
