Made to order ‘anniversary’ for She’s My Destiny
The Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) 22nd Anniversary Trophy feature takes centre stage on tomorrow’s 10-race programme at Caymanas Park. The three-year-old and upwards Graded Stakes event has attracted a small field of six runners going 5 ½ furlongs (1,100m) for a total purse of $1.5 million.
Below is the analysis of each runner and their chances of winning.
1. KING ARTHUR: (6 b g by Natural Selection – Geisha’s Art) – Finished a brave second to stablemate I Am Fred in the Distinctly Irish over 9 furlongs and 25 yards (1,820m) on June 3. The reduction in journey for this trophy race does not suit King Arthur one bit, but given the small field, he should be closing well for the exotics.
2. OUTBIDDER: (4 b f by Savoy Stomp – Rumble) – Outbidder is in this race only to make up numbers. Outbidder has no chance of winning.
3. MINIATURE MAN: (5 ch g by Northern Giant – Runaway Gal) – Capable on his day, but running against this class, Miniature Man is going to be left way behind. However, Miniature Man could still hit the board in this small field.
4. YELLOWSTONE: (4 ch g by Sensational Slam – Awry) – Was impressive in victory on June 4 when winning by a length and three quarters over the straight course in a time of 59.0 seconds. Yellowstone steps up to compete, and while he is not expected to win, he can use his speed to great effect for second place.
5. LUKSOL (USA): (4 b f by Tapiture – Stunning Taste) – Based on the presence of stablemate She’s My Destiny, Luksol, cannot be recommended for a winning run.
6. SHE’S MY DESTINY: (5 ch m by Bern Identity, Woman Is Boss) – Was expected to run a much better race than her fifth-place finish against stablemate I Am Fred in the Distinctly Irish on June 3. She’s My Destiny led for most of the way in the 9-furlong, 25-yard (1,820) event before approaching the distance. With the distance more to her liking, it is expected to be a romp for She’s My Destiny.
