Table Talk Food Awards 2023

It was with great pleasure that Table Talk Food Awards conceptualiser Novia McDonald-Whyte, welcomed patrons to the 24th staging of the annual hot-ticket event referenced throughout the region as the region’s most star-studded culinary affair. “Today, we gather here to celebrate the vibrant culinary landscape of Jamaica and recognise the exceptional talents and achievements of our nation’s culinary industry,” McDonald-Whyte said.

“Over the past 24 years, we have seen our culinary landscape evolve, embracing diverse influences while remaining true to our rich Jamaican traditions. Through this event, we celebrate the chefs, restaurateurs, bartenders, farmers, and all those who contribute to making our food scene exceptional.

“Tonight, we pay tribute to the imagination and resilience that have served to evolve our Jamaican food story. We honour those who have raised the bar and set new benchmarks in culinary excellence.

As we embark on this culinary journey together, I encourage you to savour the presentation and immerse yourselves in the camaraderie that this event fosters. Let us celebrate the culinary masters who have transformed our dining experiences into moments of pure bliss.

On behalf of the Jamaica Observer Food Awards team, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors, partners, and the culinary community for their unwavering support. Your passion, talent, and dedication have been instrumental in the success of this event.
