Man charged after ammo found in his bedroom

KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 25-year-old man was charged after several rounds of ammunition were found in his bedroom in Harbour View, Kingston on Wednesday.

Charged with unauthorised possession of ammunition is Raheem Gauntlett, a bearer of Saturn Avenue, Harbour View in the parish.

Reports from the Elletson Road police are that at about 2:00 pm, lawmen conducted a joint police/military operation in the community.

During a search of Gauntlett’s house, five 5.56 rounds of ammunition were found in his room.

He was subsequently arrested and charged.
