GRAMMY-NOMINATED reggae artiste Sizzla headlines the Showtime Edition of the latest installment of the Footloose retro party, which takes place Saturday, August 26.

The iconic artiste, who is renown for his long list of albums and hit songs, is the seventh artiste to perform at the Showtime Edition. The previous performers were Merciless, Baby Cham, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Spragga Benz, and Capleton.

Tyrone Dixon is the promoter for Footloose.

“Patrons can expect an exciting performance from Sizzla as he takes them on a journey through his extensive catalogue of hit songs,” said Dixon.

Known for taking patrons on a musical escapade through hits from the past, Footloose has kept patrons dancing since 2006 when the first edition was held.

“We decided to include a Showtime Edition because patrons kept asking for more. The feedback over the years has been tremendous,” Dixon added.

Sizzla’s hit list includes Just one of Those Days, Thank You Mama, Pump Har Up, Black Woman and Child, Ain’t Gonna See Us Fall, Simplicity, and Solid as a Rock.

He was nominated for the Best Reggae Album award in the 2014 Grammy Awards for the album The Messiah.
