Craig Powe: Unlocking the potential of the LATAM market

AS a business leader, Craig Powe has earned the reputation of a marketing genius, receiving widespread recognition for his exceptional leadership and significant contributions to the digital marketing industry. As the CEO of Adtelligent, at a mere 27 years old, he is driving the company towards becoming a prominent player in the ever-evolving digital advertising landscape.

Fuelled by a passion for innovation and a keen sense for emerging trends, Powe has masterfully guided Adtelligent towards sustainable growth and global expansion. The company’s success can be attributed to its cutting-edge, data-driven solutions that empower businesses’ content to go “viral” and generate valuable leads.

Under his direction, Adtelligent has ventured into traditional advertising, establishing a formidable content team responsible for crafting innovative cross-cultural campaigns tailored for diverse global markets.

Although hailing from Jamaica, Powe’s vision transcends borders. He believes in connecting the world through the power of education and technology. Pursuing his dreams, he studied computer science at Trinity University after receiving the prestigious president’s scholarship. This began his entrepreneurial journey, driven by a mission to revolutionise how data is utilised in marketing businesses online.

In partnership with The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica led by President Metry Seaga, Powe is also the visionary behind the Keys to LATAM, a hybrid conference to be held at Spanish Court Hotel on September 7. With the help of sponsors Flow Jamaica and Copa Airlines, and the support of Jamaica’s business community, the hybrid event with virtual and in-person participants aims to unlock the vast potential of the Latin American market by bringing Jamaica’s leaders together, empowering them with knowledge about exporting, creating prime business opportunities, and bridging the gap between regions.

Q: What inspired Adtelligent to spearhead the Keys to LATAM event?

A: I was looking to expand my business and travelled extensively throughout Latin America. In March 2023, I launched a partnership with a leading Peruvian digital marketing company, Partn&rs, which offers award-winning branding and packaging. This has allowed me the support I need to go above and beyond for clients, offering them First-World innovative packaging and branding solutions.

Q: What is your vision for the conference?

A: The Keys to LATAM conference is designed to provide Jamaican businesses with insights and strategies to enter and succeed in the Latin American market and offer immense untapped potential for Jamaican products and services.

Q: Can you share a glimpse of the practical insights and actionable takeaways that attendees can expect to gain from the conference, ultimately aiding them in unlocking the full potential of the Latin American market?

A: The event will allow participants to understand prevailing market trends and consumer behaviours within LATAM, seamlessly aligning with Jamaican offerings. They will be able to articulate the unique selling propositions and key differentiators of Jamaican products and services in the LATAM consumer landscape. They will draw inspiration from real-life success stories of Jamaican exports to LATAM and cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborations within that market, augmenting market penetration and expansion.

Q: What are the main objectives?

A: The conference aims to address the real challenges head-on from language barriers to regulatory complexities providing practical solutions and strategies to navigate them successfully. Plus, we will share case studies of Jamaican businesses that are exporting now and the immense growth they are quietly experiencing. The hybrid event is a platform for collaboration and growth, and together, we can inform Jamaica’s business leaders or strategies to maximise their potential and explore opportunities outside of their network.

Q: Adtelligent has a strong presence in the digital advertising landscape. In what ways will the conference delve into the specific trends and innovations within the Latin American advertising ecosystem, and how can industry players benefit from these discussions?

A: Our agency associates in Peru, Alejandro Agois, CEO of Partn&rs, will be making a presentation on ‘Optimising Product Packaging & Positioning for LATAM’ by unveiling the art of crafting optimal product packaging and strategic positioning for guaranteed success within the LATAM market.

I will also be making a presentation on an introduction to the LATAM market and why the time is now suitable for Jamaican businesses to consider export opportunities in the region.

We will also address influencer marketing, social media utilisation and customer behaviour to gain insights that will help shape your marketing strategies. In addition, we will also be showcasing market trends, which will predict future patterns so you stay ahead of the competition and keep the audience captivated.
