Capleton back from blazing Europe run

After returning to Europe for the first time since the novel coronavirus pandemic, reggae artiste Capleton says his tour was a success.

“On this Europe festival run I did Rototom in Spain, Sundance and Reggae Lake in Holland. It was my first time at Reggae Lake and I never knew it was such a big festival. I also did One Love in Austria , Reggae Jam in Germany, and the Nomadz and Nologo Festival in France,” he told the Jamaica Observer.

“The crowd was very receptive and the people enjoyed it. I’m a crowd-pleaser and the energy you give off is what the people receive. They sang along, they jumped, they danced and waved,” he added.

The tour, which began at the beginning of the month, ended on August 19.

The entertainer further said that he was able to hit all the targets that he had set before embarking on the tour.

“I wanted to bring back the authentic vibe and energy in the music to Europe that the people are used to and love. I am also promoting new singles like the hottest remix on the Tropical House album, Beautiful Day with Inner Voice which went to #2 on the USA iTunes Reggae charts, Nah Guh See Di End Ah Mi for Troyton Music, and Unstoppable with Ffurious,” he said.

Capleton is back in Jamaica resting ahead of a live performance in the island on Saturday. He will then return overseas for other shows.

“I’m doing Don King’s birthday bash at Rebel T headquarters with Stone Love. In September, I’m doing two shows in America, one in Chile, and then another solo tour of Europe in October,” the singer added.
