First and Foremost…

London’s Covent Garden Swings into Action with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse at Jamaica Patty Co

Last weekend, Covent Garden in London witnessed an exciting takeover when Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse swung into action at the beloved Jamaica Patty Co.

To celebrate the digital release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, now available for home viewing, Jamaica Patty Co treated the first 200 customers on both Saturday, September 2, and Sunday, September 3, to mouth-watering spicy beef patties. These delectable treats are not just any snacks; they were famously featured in the movie when superhero Miles Morales encountered the supervillain the Spot.

And of course it wouldn’t have been a true ‘fanfare’ without Miles Morales himself. The character made a special appearance, allowing fans to snap Spidey selfies with him.

The action/adventure film takes audiences on a thrilling journey as Brooklyn’s friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, Miles Morales, reunites with Gwen Stacy and embarks on a multiverse-spanning adventure. Along the way, he encounters a diverse team of Spider-People tasked with safeguarding the very fabric of reality. However, when these heroes clash over how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself at odds with his fellow Spiders and feels a need to redefine heroism to save the people he holds dearest.

The event at Jamaica Patty Co provided an excellent opportunity for fans of the film and the superhero genre to immerse themselves in the Spider-Verse experience. With the chance to enjoy a spicy beef patties and interact with Miles , it was a weekend to remember.

Then…

Last weekend, all eyes were on Venice Film Festival, where globally renowned designer Giorgio Armani hosted a fashion extravaganza like no other.

After its success in Dubai and St Moritz, the designer’s One Night Only series continued on September 2 with One Night Only Venezia. Along with the stunning new haute couture collection presented, another major point of interest from the show was the designer’s star-studded guest list, which included Rock-blooded, Hollywood actress Kerry Washington. The Scandal alum put on a shimmery display in an Armani sequinned mini, and Bulgari jewels. The look was curated by celebrity stylist Mariel Haenn.

And…

Saint International star Brad Allen is seems to be everywhere in the e-commerce fashion space at the moment. The Jamaican fashion model, a former go-to face for legendary American designer Ralph Lauren’s campaigns, is now co-starring in a host of lookbooks and advertising campaigns for Turkish menswear label Belfor and The Stay Line as well as the high-end French brand Façonnable.

Meanwhile…

Recording artiste Shenseea’s son Rajeiro Lee seems to have a budding modelling career.

The seven-year-old, who inked a deal as the new face of Chubby in 2020, walked his first runway at the 13th annual Rookie USA Fashion Show presented by Haddad Brands in New York last Wednesday.

Shenseea took the news to her IG, sharing “My little King on his first runway! Nothing makes me happier than seeing you happy…You’re a straight-A student/part-time model now lol. Proud is an understatement.”

Lee donned pieces from Nike, Jordan, Converse, Hurley, and Levi’s.
