JPS warns customers of fake offerings for bill payments
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) is warning customers to be careful of persons offering to make bill payments on their behalf.
The utility company said the warning is being made against the background of unscrupulous individuals collecting cash from customers to purportedly make bill payments on the customers’ behalf, but failing to make good on their promise.
This has resulted in the affected customers’ accounts going into arrears and being in danger of disconnection.
JPS has been communicating with customers whose accounts may have been affected.
