Free entry for sections of Caymanas Park on Mouttet Mile race day
Patrons entering the bleachers, grandstand, and club stand areas for the prestigious Mouttet Mile at Caymanas Park on December 2 will be admitted for free in these sections on the day.
Aswanda Stoddart, the acting general manager of administration at Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL), explained to the Jamaica Observer‘s The Supreme Racing Guide that this is a strategic move by the organisation to ensure that their punters actively participate in the experience on the day.
“We are looking to ensure that our everyday customers are a part of this elevated experience. To ensure that happens, we are offering free entrance to the bleachers, grandstand, and club stand areas,” said Stoddart. “We want all of our customers to come out and celebrate this monumental experience with us.”
“So when you arrive at the gate, just be ready to collect your free armband for admission into the stands. Come out on the day and be prepared to enjoy the numerous races that we have scheduled,” she added.
The Mouttet Mile, the richest race in the English-speaking Caribbean with a purse of US$150,000, will be run over one mile (1,600m). Last year’s winner of the event was Excessive Force.
Stoddart emphasised that the build-up to next month’s ultra-rich event has been great so far, and they are expecting an exciting and chilling experience. She also mentioned that there will be numerous prizes and surprises for the patrons on the day.
“This is absolutely strategic because we aim to be on top and want to showcase all that we have to offer at Caymanas Park. We want our everyday punters to be part of it,” Stoddart said.
“What we are saying to our customers is that we want them to come out in their elevated outfits, bring out their kings and queens, and be ready to be engaged and have fun on the day,” she added. “It is going to be an awesome experience for everyone who is at the park on the day of this prestigious event on December 2.”
