Half-Way-Tree welcomes Christmas with carols
The Jamaica National Group brought the spirit of Christmas to Half-Way-Tree recently with pop-up performances by the National Chorale of Jamaica and the Immaculate Conception High School’s praise ensemble.
From the steps of the JN Bank chief office in the centre of the busy urban district rose melodies of the season to cheer passers-by, several of whom stopped to catch the musical notes as they floated gently on the ‘Christmas breeze’ blowing across the city. Commuters, JN Group employees, the young and the old, all gathered round the steps to listen and sing along to folk favourites and solemn carols to welcome the Yuletide.
Here are highlights from the event:
Members of the National Chorale of Jamaica belted out familiar and favourite carols from the steps of JN Bank Half-Way-Tree recently, as people hustled and bustled through the busy commercial district.
Patrons enjoyed the performances of Christmas music by the National Chorale and Immaculate Conception High School outside the JN Bank chief office in Half-Way-Tree, St Andrew.
Teresa Woodhouse (second right) and her daughter Garvey-Ann Fearon delayed their trip home to enjoy the festivities outside the JN Bank chief office in Half-Way-Tree.
