Campbell wants high school in Westmoreland named after PJ Patterson
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – General Secretary of the People’s National Party (PNP), Dr Dayton Campbell is calling for another secondary institution to be built in Westmoreland.
Campbell wants the school to be named in honour of former Prime Minister, PJ Patterson.
He was addressing comrades at the Manning’s school where the party is unveiling their candidates for the parish.
“Time come now for another high school in the constituency of Eastern Westmoreland named after the illustrious son, PJ Patterson,” the Member of Parliament aspirant for Eastern Westmoreland chided.
His suggestion was well received by comrades who cheered on the idea.
Campbell said there is also a pressing need for additional Early Childhood Institutions (ECIs) and primary schools.
“We want to see more Early Childhood facilities in Eastern Westmoreland and we want to see more primary school and we will be doing extra classes, [Primary Exit Profile] PEP classes and that they can get the best schools to go to,” he stressed.
