Throwing events being added to Milo Western Relays roster
ST JAMES, Jamaica— Organisers of the 45th Milo Western Relays, which will be held at the GC Foster Sports College on February 10, will introduce throwing events at the one-day carnival.
The addition was announced at Tuesday’s media launch held at the Holy Trinity auditorium in Montego Bay, St James.
The Milo Western Relays, which have added hurdles and distance races over time, will have throws in all ISSA Champs classes as well as Open for seniors, Meet Director Ray Harvey announced.
There will be competition in discus throw and shot put for males and females, in all classes at the meet which is also a Champs qualifier.
Additionally, there will be ‘invitational’ 60m races of seniors and the top four high school teams in the Class 1 boys and girls 4x100m, 4x400m and 4x800m Open will receive cash prizes.
