62-y-o farmer stabbed to death during dispute with 61-y-o fisherman
CLARENDON, Jamaica – A fight between two elderly men at Cockpit district in Clarendon on Wednesday night ended in one being killed and the other facing a murder charge.
Dead is 62-year-old Boneta Stewart, otherwise called ‘Mickie-Mouse’, a farmer, while in police custody is 61-year-old fisherman Michael Foster, otherwise called ‘Racing’. Both from the Cockpit district.
Reports are that both men had a dispute during which a knife was used to inflict stab wounds to Stewart’s upper body. He reportedly died on the spot.
It is understood that Foster later surrendered to the authorities.
A knife believed to be the murder weapon was found on the scene, the police said.
