Our Enduring Love

YouTuber Tiaena Sterling and US Air Force member Rantano Roberts exchanged wedding vows at the One Way Apostolic Church.

The ceremony, officiated by Bishop Dr Austin Wright, marked the beginning of a lifelong journey for the young couple. Choosing not to have a formal reception, Tiaena and Rantano opted instead for a private wedding, focusing solely on the sanctity of their union.

Their love story began at Camperdown High School in 2015 when Rantano transferred from Oberlin High School. Tiaena, known for her reserved nature, had never exchanged words with him until a vivid dream featuring a picnic prompted her to break the ice. In the following years, their paths intertwined further, and a close friendship evolved into playful flirtation. “I expressed my desire for a serious relationship, and to my delight, she agreed to give us a chance,” shared Rantano with Tuesday Style Vows (TSV).

After five years of growing together, and spending time together both at home and in the States, Rantano, adorned in his military uniform, orchestrated a heartwarming proposal in Jamaica. As Tiaena arrived at the airport with her family, he posed the life-changing question that sealed their fate.

In crafting their special day, Tiaena and Rantano chose to focus on things that were meaningful both to them and immediate family members.

With no formal reception, the emphasis remained on the sincerity of their commitment and the presence of their closest family and friends.

The wedding gown, curated by Tiaena’s sister, Roxanne Buchanan, added an element of joy and spontaneity to the day. The gown featured ruffling organza details, and a cathedral veil. Rantano the bridegroom cut a dapper figure in black and white tuxedo. Tiaena’s bouquet comprised white roses and baby’s breath, symbolising the purity and enduring love that marked their journey.

Tiaena and Rantano enjoyed their honeymoon at a family-owned property in St Elizabeth.
