Veteran singer Richie Stephens takes over the #1 spot on the Foundation Radio Network (TFRN) New York Reggae chart.

Heartbeat, produced by Pot of Gold Productions, was released in December. It is the third #1 song for Stephens on the New York chart over the past four years.

Formerly signed to Motown Records, Stephens sang lead on the song Joy (credited to Soul II Soul), which peaked at #4 on the UK Singles chart in April 1992.

Still on the New York Reggae chart, Bounty Killer’s cover of Barry White’s Practice What You Preach steps up from #6 to #2, while Da Flame’s Phyllis Dillon Tribute medley bolts from #16 to #9.

Bob Marley and the Wailers cling onto the #1 spot on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart for a record-setting 216 non-consecutive weeks with Legend.

Shaggy’s Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection inches back up to #2, while Dutty Classics Collection by Sean Paul dips to #3.

Greatest Hits by UB40 rises from #8 to #4, World on Fire by Stick Figure moves from #7 to #5, while dipping to #6 is the various artistes set Bob Marley: One Love (Music inspired by the film).

Exodus by Bob Marley and the Wailers crashes from #4 to #7, Set in Stone by Stick Figure is #8, while Bob Marley: One Love (soundtrack), which features 17 tracks by Bob Marley and the Wailers, falls from #6 to #9.

Rounding out the top 10 is Sean Paul’s 22-year-old, Grammy-winning, multi-platinum-selling Dutty Rock.

YG Marley’s Praise Jah in the Moonlight continues to unleash its fury on several charts globally. On the Billboard Hot 100, the song moves into the #34 spot, on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 it fares better at #20. On Billboard Global 200, the song is #11, while on Global 200 Excluding US, it sits at #10.

Teejay’s Drift continues to run out of steam as it back-pedals from #45 to #44 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hops Songs chart.
