#Champs2024: KC’s Wade quickest in Class 2 boys’ 100m prelims
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Kingston College’s (KC) Nyrone Wade recorded the fastest time of 10.46 seconds to qualify for the semi-final round of the Class 2 boys’ 100m, at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships at the National Stadium on Tuesday.
KC’s Kyle Bodden (10.92); Jamaica College’s (JC) Malique Dennis (11.11); Excelsior High’s Malike Nugent (11.04); Tyreece Foreman (11.03) and Antwone Bygrave (11.15) of St George’s College; Tavaine Stewart of Herbert Morrison (10.91); St Jago High’s Detarje Morgan (11.25) and Rayj Reece (11.07); Camperdown High’s Ajani Thomas (11.26); Byron Walker of Calabar High (11.08); Oshane Jervis of Green Island (11.10; Muschett High’s Johan-Ramaldo Smythe (10.65); Rehiem Simpson of Troy High (11.28); Cornwall College’s Thomas Daley (11.04) and Rodneil Mitchell of York Castle (11.14) are the event’s automatic qualifiers.
The other athletes to compete in the semi-final are Kamar Richards of Herbert Morrison (11. 37), York Castle’s Kemol Johnson (11.25), Meadowbrook High’s Jordane Ferguson (11.19), Calabar High’s Tajay Shaw (11.28), Michael Graham of Excelsior High (11.29), Malachi Miller of Edwin Allen (11.43), Petersfield’s High Shadane Lewis (11.44) and JC’s Taishaun Garibaldi (11.24).
The Class 2 boys will contest the semi-final round of the event on Wednesday at 6:15 pm.
