D and G Foundation takes life skills to Trench Town’s trainees
ELEVEN waitressing students training at Boys’ Town Vocational Training Centre, in St Andrew, were visited by representatives of Desnoes and Geddes (D&G) Foundation recently, for an enriching coaching session.
The students showed keen interest as they were introduced to financial literacy and its impact on personal and economic development.
Following a debate-like discussion on their financial future the representatives of the foundation delved into topics such as workplace etiquette and life skills.
D&G Foundation has already extended its training to 59 students this year, complementing the 139 pupils trained last year.
The training encompasses bartending, forklift operation, merchandising, and essential life skills.
D&G Foundation’s consistent participation in ongoing training sessions is part of its Learning for Life youth development programme, in partnership with the HEART/NSTA Trust.
