#Champs2024: Edwin Allen’s Palmer through to Class 3 girls’ 800m semis
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Edwin Allen High’s Denique Palmer has secured her spot in the semi-final round of the Class 3 girls’ 800m at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships.
Palmer registered a time of 2:18.56. Edwin Allen‘s Kevongaye Fowler (2:18.91); St Elizabeth Technical’s Shameika Dennis (2;08.53); New Forrest High’s Sasha-Kay Johnson (3:00.55); Mount Alvernia’s Karma Lewin (2:24.52); Alikay Reynolds (2:25.13) and Tabbrel Williams of Alphansus Davis; Dehiema Williams (2:29.59) and Vennesha Pommells (2:24.79) of Manchester High; St Mary’s Dallia Fairweather (2:22.65); Sackeela Whilby of Hydel High (2:28.15); Maggotty High’s Coleen Bower (2:23.81); Campion College’s Breanna Thompson (2:30.21); Holmwood Technical’s Kerrita Rose (2:24.02); St Jago’s Jada Fletcher (2:24.05) and Sydney Pagon’s Alexia Palmer (2:23.64), are also safely through.
Advancing based on time are Vere Technical’s Sequoia Mills (2:35.18); Port Antonio’s Trishan Speid (2:31.78 Ashley Shepherd of Holmwood Technical (2:31.41); Immaculate Conception’s Netanya Robinson (2:30.31); Belair High’s Akoya Brown (2:29.79) and Britney Bruce of Bellefield High (2:24.53).
The semis of the Class 3 girls’ 800m is set for on Friday at 2:40pm.
