#Champs2024: St Jago’s Campbell fastest qualifier to Class 3 girls’ 200m semis
KINGSTON, Jamaica – St Jago High’s Shannia Campbell will lead the field into Friday’s semi-final round of the Class 3 girls’ 200m at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships.
Campbell clocked 24.76 seconds to safely punch her ticket.
Wolmerians Natrece East (24.85) and Ashara Creary (25.82); Immaculate Conception’s Kayla Johnson (25.23) and Kimberly Wright (25.42); Rusea’s High’s Ronique Stewart (25.55); Port Antonio’s Kevina Bourne (24.77); William Knibb’s Daniella Dixon (25.58); St Elizabeth Technical’s Mareka Williams (25.35); Shaneka Gibson (25.44) and Maria Baker (25.52) of Holmwood Technical; Hydel’s Sashana Johnson (24.85); St Jago’s Trecia-Ann Grant (25.38); Belair’s Krista-Gaye Brown (26.16); Edwin Allen’s Kerelle Etienne (24.92) and St Mary High’s Kaliesha Bell (25.11) have secured their spots as automatic qualifiers.
The top eight to advance based on time are Vere Technical’s Pasha Gaye Forrester (25.33), Britany Jones of St Mary High (25.74), Maggotty’s Sakoi Robinson (26.01), Giana Murray of Mount Alvernia (25.62), Holy Childhood’s Kaleen Smith (25.96), Mikaela McBean of Convent of Mercy Alpha (25.53), William Knibb’s Sheldain Jarrett (25.55) and Dinthill Technical’s Amelia Civil (25.99).
The semis of the Class 3 girls’ 200m on Friday is set for 1:03 pm.
