#Champs2024: Alpha’s Price eyes gold for Class 3 girls’ long jump
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Convent of Mercy Alpha’s Rajana Price will set her sights on winning Saturday’s final of the Class 3 girls’ long jump at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships.
Price produced a best jump of 5.45m, equalling the automatic qualifying mark in the process.
Shahi Hudson of Excelsior High (5.37) and record-breaking high jump champion Zavien Bernard of Hydel High (5.36) round out the top three.
Mount Alvernia’s Malia Housen (5.23); St Jago’s Tiana South (5.22); Shamoy Thomas of Titchfield High (5.18); Convent of Mercy Alpha’s Asysha Howell (5.01); Hydel’s Jada Irons (4.99); Immaculate Conception’s Alexia-Marie Williams (4.98); Renae Escoe of Wolmer’s Girls (4.97); Edwin Allen’s Yasheika Sinclair (4.93) and St Catherine High’s Ashawna Marshall (4.77) conclude the top 12 finalists.
The final of the Class 3 girls’ long jump is scheduled for 2:16 pm.
