#Champs2024: Edwin Allen’s Godfrey leads qualifiers for Class 4 girls’ 70mh semis
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Edwin Allen’s Tashana Godfrey clocked 10.71 seconds to top the field ahead of Friday’s semi-final round of the Class 4 girls 70m hurdles at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships.
The other athletes to book their automatic tickets to the final are Arrian Nelson of Hydel High (10.79); Excelsior’s Dejanae Clarke (11.22); St Jago’s Meya Reid (10.87); Holmwood Technical’s Devonnie Francis (10.89) and Tanecia Richards (10.97); Convent of Mercy Alpha’s Imani Crawford (10.91) and Immaculate Conception’s Niara McCleod (10.93).
Qualifying with the next best times are Edwin Allen’s Neikashay Groves (11.37); Aaja Brown of Immaculate Conception (11:47); St Andrew High’s Cheyenne Reid (11:15) and Nailah Grant (11.40); Clarendon College’s Chantellee Brown (10.93); Nicqora Nelson of Excelsior High (11.08); Hydel’s London Bell (11.41) and Jahzara Bygrave of Campion College (11.32).
The semi-finals of the Class 4 girls’ 70mh is set for 6:15 pm.
