Horse racing and sports fans worldwide will once again have the opportunity to see and hear Gulfstream’s well-known track announcer Peter Aiello call races at Caymanas Park. Aiello will make his second appearance at the Park on Easter Monday (April 1).

Christopher Wills, vice-president of operations at Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL), announced Aiello’s arrival during a press conference in Caymanas on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

“We have a surprise; one of our favourite announcers Pete Aiello from Gulfstream Park will be back for our Easter Monday raceday. That’s right, Pete will be here as our guest announcer.

“If you missed Pete at the Jamaica Cup raceday in 2023 you missed out. The dual-race commentary between Pete and our own Brian ‘Spuddy’ Rickman was one for the books. Don’t make the same mistake, join us on April 1,” Wills said.

The presence of Aiello follows the announcement that two international jockeys, Tampa Bay Down’s Pablo Morales and New York’s Reylu Gutierrez, will make their debut on April 1.

Aiello made his debut commentating races at Caymanas Park on Saturday, November 11, 2023. During the 10 races on offer that day, Aiello, who has established himself as one of the world’s finest race callers, brought a high degree of accuracy, excitement, and clever phrases to his calls.

Aiello two classic catch phrases are “Easyyyyy Money” and “Who do you like from here?”.

The Jamaica Cup had Aiello calling the first part of the race before handing over the commentary to local ace commentator Brian “Spuddy” Rickman as the horses headed toward the half-mile turn.
